Schumer's Social Security Rip-off Act

Schumer's Social Security Rip-off Act

Chuck Schumer has decided that .gov employees need to have restrictions on their Social Security payment allowances removed, since they didn't really participate that much in the Social Security program doesn't matter.

It's interesting to read the different source articles from which my source, Ground News compiles.  So first below is the Ground News summary and link. What it is going to do is repeal the Windfall Eliminatgion Provision and of course, it is called the Social Security Fairness Act which is not at all fair.  Typical Democrat.

Follow that link to read the first paragraph to confirm that these folks are going to get SS benefits they didn't actually pay for?  I'll post that paragraph below as well.

  • The Senate will vote on changes to Social Security, according to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.
  • Schumer emphasized the importance of discussing Social Security in the Senate.
  • The Senate has scheduled a vote on changes related to Social Security.
  • Schumer confirmed that the Senate is moving forward with the Social Security changes.

Schumer says Senate will vote on Social Security changes

"The Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) is a formula used to adjust Social Security worker benefits for people who receive “non-covered pensions” and qualify for Social Security benefits based on other Social Security–covered earnings. a A non-covered pension is a pension paid by an employer that does not withhold Social Security taxes from your salary, typically, state and local governments or non-U.S. employers."
