U.S. Holds Out For Direct Negotiations

As the war to wipe Hamas off the face of the map churns on, unfortunately, the Hamas propaganda machine is ramped up to the fullest as seen on U.S. college campuses and at the International Criminal Court and more.

Israel isn't even a party to the I.C.C.  But because all the world sees is the numbers.  And Hamas keeps saying that there's mostly women and children, so the world capitulates and basically rewards Hamas by condemning Israel for the fact the the death toll is unbalanced.

The death toll provided by Hamas.

Now we have countries deciding to reward Israel more by trying to force a two state solution upon Israel.  Where are the lines that they plan to accept?  What they keep asking for, the 'pre-1967' lines?  The west bank was fully annexed and controlled by Jordan.  The Gaza strip was fully annexed and controlled by Egypt.  Neither country gave the Arab population (Arafat hadn't come along to redefine the term 'Palestinian" yet) citizenship nor plans for an independent state.  And the Jewish quarter of the Old City was in shambles from the 1948 Jordanian destruction and Jews were not allowed anywhere near the Western Wall.

At least President Biden insists that Israel and the Palestinians work it out first.

"Each country can make its own decision on whether to recognize a Palestinian state, the White House said on Wednesday, but U.S. President Joe Biden thinks direct negotiations by the parties is the best approach.

"White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan made the comments in a news briefing after Ireland, Spain and Norway announced they would recognize a Palestinian state on May 28, prompting an angry response from Israel. "
