Children Using Social Media to Diagnose ADHD, Autism, Etc.

Got to love our modern technology.  We hardly even have to leave our homes at all anymore.  Heck, there's even on-line doctors, nurses, and even psychologists; all diagnosed and prescribed on line.

ADHD patients are usually prescribed stimulants including Adderall which is a combination of dextroamphetamine and amphetamine, Dexedrine which is just the dextroamphetamine.

They follow creators who discuss their own mental health conditions and come across posts with symptoms checklists to determine if they meet the criteria for a diagnosis.
  • This trend of self-diagnosing is concerning because it can lead to mislabeling, exacerbate teens' behaviors, make them feel isolated, and hinder them from getting the appropriate help they need."
