The ACLU Backs Trump

The ACLU Backs Trump

Nothing to see here folks.  Because, well, it is Trump.  Seriously folks, we need to really do something about the lopsided bullshit that is happening in prosecutors' offices all around the country.

I wrote my congressman and he agrees.  The Brits agree.  Various states are trying to get President Trump's name removed from their ballots for a 14th amendment violation, i.e. Insurrection.  But he has not been indicted, charged, nor convicted of any charge of actual insurrection.  I guess if the media calls Jan 6 an insurrection enough times, then President Trump is guilty of one regardless of what the courts actually say or do.

And now the ACLU is getting i behind President Trump:

"When the American Civil Liberties Union goes to bat for Donald Trump, it's a red flag. The ACLU generally fights for far-left causes.

"The ACLU is protesting a gag order imposed by U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan on Oct. 17 to silence Trump, at the request of federal prosecutor Jack Smith. Trump has called Smith a "thug."

"Whether you like Trump or hate him, watch this battle. If prosecutors can silence a former president, think what they could do to you."

Your Rights at Stake in Trump Trials

And it seems as though the ominous warning quoted above has been ignored, well it is Trump after all. Laws and the Constitution do not apply when accusing, charging, and impeaching former President Trump;

"The judge presiding over former President Donald Trump's criminal election interference case declined to accept an amicus brief from the American Civil Liberties Union that voiced opposition to a gag order imposed on the former president.

U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan of the District Court for the District of Columbia declined to accept the amicus or "friend of the court" brief that would have favored Trump's defense against the limited gag order, which prevents certain inflammatory speech by Trump against specific prosecutors and possible witnesses in the 2020 election subversion case."
