Climate Fear Porn, Or Beating a Dead Horse

Al Gore.  Since he lost to G.W. Bush I guess he needed something else to stay relevant so in 2006 he released his movie about global warming with pretty wild predictions that should have all come true by now.

But they haven't.  Hell, Al Gore sucked at math and science at Harvard, his only 'expertise' was one semester class on climate change during his senior year.  Otherwise he spent a lot of his time shooting pool and smoking pot.  I don't know why he still gets paid for these talks since nothing he says comes true.

"Noted climate activist and former Vice President Al Gore, who made headlines this week after he claimed global warming was "boiling the oceans," has a history of making climate-related proclamations later proven to be false.  In addition, in his 2006 global warming documentary "An Inconvenient Truth," Gore predicted that the global sea level could rise as much as 20 feet "in the near future.

"Since 1880, the global sea level has risen 8-9 inches and, between 1993-2021, the sea level has ticked up 3.8 inches, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). At that rate, it would take approximately 1,136 years for the world's sea level to rise 20 feet."

Al Gore has history of climate predictions, statements proven false

I must admit, the marketing campaign on climate fear is proving to be very effective, since people don't have any attention span, nor any memory of anything these days; they just take it all at face value because, you know; its science.

To me and most all actual people who still think for themselves, they are beating a dead horse.

"Humans are on track to release so much greenhouse gas in less than three years that a key threshold for limiting global warming will be nearly unavoidable, according to a study to be released Thursday.

"The report predicts that society will have emitted enough carbon dioxide by early 2028 that crossing an important long-term temperature boundary will be more likely than not. The scientists calculate that by that point there will be enough of the heat-trapping gas in the atmosphere to create a 50-50 chance or greater that the world will be locked in to 1.5 degrees Celsius (2.7 degrees Fahrenheit) of long-term warming since preindustrial times. That level of gas accumulation, which comes from the burning of fuels like gasoline, oil and coal, is sooner than the same group of 60 international scientists calculated in a study last year. "
