The mess in Gaza. Bringing back into the forefront the whole Israel-Palestine conflict. Again. It just makes me sick how little so many people actually know about what is really going on there.
I took two trips to Israel, the first being in 2011. After returning, I decided to take a deep deep dive into the whole affair. I did so with a really open mind and delved deep into the Palestinian's claims. I wanted to see exactly what Israel did and why they continue to keep fighting them, claiming all this oppression.
What I found out is that it is a really simple thing that has been obfuscated so far with lies and propaganda that it becomes hard to see the actual truth that has been right in front of us the whole time. I think as far as the Palestinians are concerned, the following video tells it well:
The Palestinians are being oppressed all right. By themselves and their leadership. And though Israel is kicking Hamas' ass, Hamas is actually getting the results they want with all the money that's now flowing their way from all the useless idiots all over the globe.
