So many people are preparing now a days, and some folk laugh. The folks who laugh have never been through a natural disaster. A simple little flood or bad storm or whatever can disrupt life as you know it for a bit.
I've been through a few and that's why I save stuff up. I've been where the stores are out, closed, or not accessible during disaster events. But there are a lot of 'preppers' that fear some nation setting off an EMP device thereby setting large portions of the world back to the age before electricity, or mostly our more modern electronics. I think said country wouldn't want to have to replace that much infrastructure after their 'invasion'.
