Kyrsten Sinema Leaving Senate

Kyrsten Sinema was elected as the U.S. Senator for Arizona in 2018 when Jeff Flake retired.  She used to be a social worker and then went into state politics and the the U.S. House and then the Senate.

She is openly bisexual, and honestly since she was elected as a Democrat in 2018 during the Presidency of Donald Trump while the divide was getting so large folks started talking civil war 2.0 in more places on the internet than you'd think; she surprised me with her voting record.  She ended up soon leaving the Democratic party to become in Independent and it seems as though even Wikipedia says she has one of the most conservative voting records for a progressive democrat.

The only thing I wonder about is why Sheriff Mark Lamb is not mentioned as he is supposed to be running as a Republican also.  Maybe he didn't get enough signatures?  Maybe he is going to hold off and remove the real cull of an Arizona Senator, Mark Kelly.

"Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ) announced on Tuesday that she will not seek re-election and will leave the U.S. Senate at the end of this year.

"Her exit from the Senate clears the way for the race to be a two-way battle between Republican Kari Lake and Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) in an election that could determine which party controls the Senate."
