Portland Wants to Evict ICE

Ah Portland, OR.  The city where the ICE facility and its neighbors never get to sleep.  President Trump exaggerated when he said the whole city is on fire, but he was just sick and tired of the city just letting these riots be.

The residents who have to endure the constant noise from Antifa all night long couldn't even get satisfaction in court, when they had an excellent case, the city is in fact totally not enforcing its own laws, but they found a judge who 'felt' the same way the city does.  Fuck the residents, promote Antifa and the criminals as if they are saints.

Not happy with that obviously biased win, they are now going after the landlord of the ICE facility to try and get the Federal .gov evicted out of their city.  There are several 'activists' groups that have been pushing for this, yet the Democrats accuse the Republicans of law-fare.

"Portland officials have granted multiple extensions to the landlord of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility as he seeks to challenge the city’s finding that the facility violated its land use permit.

"Attorneys for developer Stuart Lindquist, who owns the South Macadam building, asked for an administrative review of the alleged permit breach last month, effectively pausing any potential enforcement action that the city could issue against the property. "

"“Records indicate that detainees were held beyond the facility’s 12-hour limit or kept overnight 25 times between October 1, 2024 and July 27, 2025,” the city said in a news release, noting the latest “violation” was on May 20.

"The city said it would issue its formal notice to ICE Thursday. It’s the result of an investigation conducted by the city’s permitting bureau that began in late July after the city received formal complaints.  For months, some community members have pressed Portland leaders to close the facility by revoking the land use agreement that has allowed ICE to operate since 2011 at 4310 S. Macadam Ave."

Now the city has also passed an ordinance that gives the city a blank check in fines for spurious reasons against the ICE facility, in other words, the amounts and reasons are all to be determined 'later'.

"The City Council of Portland, Oregon, has adopted a new ordinance that would enable it to impose fees on the Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention center where authorities, at times firing tear gas and rubber bullets, have clashed with protesters.

"The ordinance creates a “detention facility impact fee,” in an amount to be determined later, if ICE seeks to renew its use of a leased property in Portland when it expires in 2033. It also immediately creates “nuisance” fees, also in an amount to be calculated later, for the use of chemicals and munitions that interfere with the “health and safety” of the community."
