Let's refresh for those of you born after 1980. I lived through Watergate. That was where a sitting president up for re-election decided to hire some civilians to bug the opposition's headquarters to gain vital information during the election campaign season. Oddly, it started in June of the election year. Russiagate, which started in July of the election year, went further where the sitting president helped his Secretary of State and party's candidate to surveil the opposition by weaponizing the whole Department of Justice apparatus to spy on him. Including after he was elected.
"Formerly classified documents newly released by Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley purportedly show the Hillary Clinton campaign came up with the plan to suggest President Donald Trump was colluding with Russia when he first ran for office in 2016.

So this is where we are so far, a grand jury has been called. If it is in D.C., absolutely nothing will probably happen, since they'll make sure that the jurors called come from anti-Trump neighborhoods, you know, the ones who don't give a shit if the black and brown communities are getting shot to death and robbed to death since they live on the good side of town?
