Sometimes, you just have to look past the God damned headline folks. Recently Florida passed some legislation that bans gender affirming care for children, punishes businesses for showing drag shows to minors,
and punishes folks who use the wrong public bathroom. So, of course, the whole 'community' is in an uproar as they just listen to the headline which tells them that the state of Florida is out to get them. Read on:
- "Transgender individuals in Florida are turning to crowdfunding to raise money to leave the state after the passage of legislation targeting the LGBTQ+ community, including banning gender-affirming care for minors and imposing new restrictions on adults seeking treatment.
- Losing access to hormone therapy or other care can be harmful to the mental health of those seeking medical interventions, and crowdfunding can help make up for the underfunding of nonprofits serving the LGBTQ+ community, which received just 0.13% of overall charitable giving in 2019."
Some trans people turn to crowdfunding to leave Florida after anti-LGBTQ+ laws
I'm sorry, but folks who think that they were supposed to be a man when born a woman, has mental health issues already. And that is being promulgated by using confirmation bias in the research causing more mental health issues.
"The Florida House passed a litany of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation on Wednesday. These bills could prohibit gender-affirming care for children, punish businesses letting minors watch drag shows, and treat transgender people peeing in the wrong bathroom as criminals.
