Cartel Katie Hobbs. The self (s)elected Governor of Arizona has had her share of scandal, but of course, nothing that gets a whole lot of attention. The media is too concerned about murdering Trump in the public arena.
She has been accused of being in with the Mexican drug cartels, and some of her actions about the border seem to reflect that.
But when it came time to appoint her cabinet, agency directors, she didn't like going through the Arizona Senate because she wasn't getting her petty little way. She is after all, just a scared little teenager inside. So, like a true comrade, she just went around them breaking the law. I was just about to write my state legislatures when I saw this article showing that they were in fact doing something about it. And she has lost in court.
"Gov. Katie Hobbs' end run around the Senate to put her allies in charge of state agencies violates Arizona law, a Maricopa County judge ruled Wednesday.
""The governor took a series of actions that, when viewed in isolation arguably complied with certain applicable statutes, but took those actions for an improper purpose, culminating in an improper result — one that violates Arizona law," Blaney wrote. Hobbs cannot circumvent Senate confirmation of agency directors, nor can she leave the director positions vacant, the court ruled."
